Miriam Porter is an award-winning Canadian freelance journalist with over 500 published articles. She writes about travel, social justice issues, children’s rights, and veganism. Her articles have been published in The Washington Post, The Huffington Post, Travel + Leisure, Mental Floss, Yahoo, Eater, SheKnows, Metro News, The Toronto Star, Wheels, WestJet Magazine, Today’s Parent Magazine, The Canadian Jewish News, Dreamscapes,TraveLife Magazine, The Jewish Advocate, CAA Magazine, Farmers’ Almanac, Sierra Magazine, PETA, and many more.
Miriam graduated Magna Cum Laude with her second Honours degree from York University in 2014, this one in Children’s Studies/Child Advocacy. She has lived in New York City and Los Angeles where she worked as an actor in film and television shows. She currently resides in Toronto with her son Noah and many rescued furry friends. She speaks up for those that have no voice.
