Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe Resort Is The Perfect All-Inclusive Summer Destination

Celebrate the season in style with luxurious beachfront suites, delicious gourmet dining, and festive holiday moments at this stunning all-inclusive resort in Cancun, Mexico.

Escape to sun-soaked shores this summer for an unforgettable family vacation at Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe. This fabulous resort located in Cancun’s famous Hotel Zone is just 10 miles from Cancun International Airport, the main gateway to the gorgeous Mexican Caribbean. There are multiple non-stop flights from major U.S. and Canadian cities to Cancun, and from New York or Toronto the flight is about four hours.

This vibrant destination on the Yucatán Peninsula is located near the region’s best family-friendly excursions. Set along 600 feet of private, powder-soft beachfront between the Caribbean Sea and the Nichupté Lagoon, Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe opened just over two years ago, becoming Hilton’s 90th property in Mexico and its 10th all-inclusive resort in the Caribbean and Latin America. It features 540 spacious rooms, including 81 suites; 13 refreshing pools including an adults-only Sundeck; eight restaurants including Maxal for authentic Mexican cuisine; a luxurious spa for all your wellness needs; and a fun lineup of daily activities.

Here’s what makes a stay at Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe so memorable.

Beachfront Family Rooms And Suites

Most of the 540 rooms and suites have a view of the Caribbean Sea and the first level has a private plunge pool or whirlpool. I loved watching the sunrise from my huge terrace and sipping a soy milk cappuccino that I brought back from Azulinda Café in the lobby. The swinging hammock is perfect for reading and listening to rolling ocean waves.

Room decorations are inspired by landscapes of the Yucatan Peninsula and include natural woodwork and tranquil blue and white hues. Enclave rooms offer elevated perks like dedicated pools, beach area, and private lounge. Premium ocean view suites (1130 square feet) sleep four with a king-sized bed in a private bedroom, two twin-sized Murphy beds (perfect for kids), large dining area, cozy sitting area, stocked mini-fridge, and Nespresso machine. There are two large HDTV’s and an impressive spa-inspired bathroom with pretty stonework, huge rain shower, free-standing soaking tub, and double vanities.

A Spa In Paradise

Speaking of spa inspiration, The Spa at the resort is outstanding. Located within a secluded garden, it feels like you’ve stepped into a jungle. I was surrounded by lush green plants and towering trees from cacao to avocado, each relating to Mayan traditions and the unique spa treatments using medicinal power of nature for ultimate rejuvenation.

Treatments combine knowledge of the past to needs of the present and include their signature coconut blissful ritual using a coconut and sugar body scrub; an avocado ritual that helps repair sun damage; multiple massages including deep tissue and hot stones; and a stonecrop detoxifying facial that helps combat environmental damage to the skin using the indigenous stonecrop plant with nutrient-rich microgreens. Arrive an hour early to immerse yourself in their top notch guided hydrotherapy circuit. Your sensory journey includes a sauna, steam room, outdoor cold plunge pool, and jacuzzi – all of which inspire healing. Minimum age for the spa is 16 so drop the kids off at Beach Bunch for their own special day.

Family Fun For Everyone

Older kids gather at the teens club to play video games, bumper pool, and mingle with others from around the world. Beach Bunch is the kids club and provides supervised activities for ages four to 12 such as balloon pool, clay making, face painting, and magic shows. The family room hosts movie nights, board games, and story time, or check out Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe’s world-class entertainment. This includes dancing to nightly live music, outdoor yoga, a guacamole cooking class, water sports, fitness classes, and casino night.

Cool off from the hot Mexican sun in 13 refreshing pools and kids love their own fun waterslide and splash area. Direct beach access is steps away and there are plenty of lounge chairs, towels, and huts in the shade to watch kids build sandcastles. Save time to walk along the soft white sand, splash in the waves, and chase the warm Mexican breeze.

Elevated Culinary Experiences

The eight restaurants are helmed by Executive Chef Rodrigo Arturo Reyes Valdes whose extensive experience in luxury hotels and fine dining is evident in every dish I tried. As a vegan, I gravitated toward Vela, a family-friendly buffet open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They offer a generous assortment of international dishes and options for even the pickiest young eaters – the friendly staff is excellent at accommodating dietary needs.

Maxal is a lively restaurant serving delicious Mexican cuisine crafted with vibrant flavors and locally sourced ingredients. I recommend the vegan corn tartare with avocado and watermelon and my delicious plant-based tacos came with almond cheese. La Luce serves authentic Italian and Mediterranean dishes; Noriku Asian features à la carte options and live cooking shows at Teppanyaki tables; and Chala Sky Bar is the perfect place to unwind after sunset with cocktails, sweeping views of the Caribbean, and nightly entertainment.

Book excursions directly in the lobby with Tropical Elite Travel and introduce your family to Mexico’s rich culture and traditions. There are countless kid-friendly day trips to discover natural wonders, learn history, and enjoy unforgettable adventures. Isla Mujeres – just a short ferry ride from Cancun, is a paradise of calm waters perfect for swimming, snorkeling, outdoor dining, and shopping for unique souvenirs to support the local economy.

For an immersive history experience on your family vacation, book a tour to Chichén Itzá to explore ancient Mayan ruins – one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. For non-stop adventure, Tropical Elite Travel whisks you off to Adrenaline Park to experience Cancun’s wild side – think ATV rides through the jungle, heart-pounding ziplines, and a cool swim in a cenote. Cenotes, found throughout the Yucatán Peninsula, are named from the Yucatec Maya word “D’zonot” meaning “a place with underground water.” These magical limestone caverns are gateways to Mexico’s mysterious aquatic underworld and are one of my favorite excursions in Mexico.

With Cancun’s stunning turquoise waters as your backdrop, Hilton Cancun Mar Caribe turns holiday vacations into memories you’ll cherish long after you return home.
